MostHatedHustle - Show Me
Weekly Music
MostHatedHustle was on my radar these past couple of days, and I immediately began listening to his entire discography when I first heard his latest track titled "Show Me." He delivered something that piqued my interest. The first thing that drew me in was the high quality production and mixing. Hustle delivered a fantastic performance, complete with a heavy melodic touch, fun flows, and a solid overall cadence. Hustle provides us with a fun melodic and catchy tune that feels great but can also fit into a variety of aesthetics. That's important for longevity and reach. Hustle's voice and cadence style are a mash-up of many different sounds, but the way he does it is truly unique. He has this already classic high pitched Toronto sound but he gets a lot of his style from his influences in the States, which we all do. He doesn't have that annoying Toronto accent or overly aggressive autotune that gets tiring after a while. But he does offer that higher pitched vocal in a tone that feels natural and real. I love how he manipulates his voice; he has these crazy crescendos and vocal pitch changes that are really exciting. In general, his vocal feels just right and at a level that adds energy and melody to the music without drowning the beat and piercing the ears like a lot of other artists have done in the past. His flows are fantastic; one thing that distinguishes a good rapper from an amateur is their flow. Hustle has a great ear for catchy flows and unique melodies. Cadence is one thing, but lyrical play and delivery is quite another. "Show Me" features his most polished and seamless performance to date. He really wiped that beat down and carried the entire track. That's something I don't often feel or hear, I got to give him props for that. I would like to see some type of a project this year. He has been a singles artist since he started to post music back in 2021. I feel like a short EP would do a lot in showcasing Hustle's versatility and skill set while helping him bring a lot more attention to his name.
