44romance - Need You
Weekly Music
44romance has just released his new single, "Need You." This is yet another instant classic from 44. He has nailed his sound, lane, and style to a tee. There's something about his voice and the way he delivers it that makes it unforgettable. His distinct cadence and voice are important aspects that set him apart. His flows and melodies are also huge components of his style and individuality. The melodic nature of his music is a big part of what makes up his style, but so is the way he uses his voice, which makes his music so much bigger and more multidimensional than most others. He has these mature vibratos and big crescendos that add so much depth and skill to his music. There is so much going on that it's difficult to break it down in detail, but you can hear the emotion in his voice and the power with which he delivers it. But that is what makes him stand out so much, his faster, more high-energy melodic approach is something that very few are doing out here and the way he approaches beat selection and mixing is also on another level. “Need You” opens up with a cinematic piano riff going into a powerful first few lyrics. I like how the beat is simple and unobtrusive. The instrumentals are mostly built around acoustic instruments like the piano and string instruments like the cello or violin. The instrumental selection has a significant impact on the overall atmosphere of the track. That’s amplified by the lyrics, I adore 44's lyrical content; he has some incredible and underappreciated lyrical play in this song, and in a few of his previous releases. This song in particular has some great and deep lyricism that hits hard, and his excellent voice and unique cadence really help to construct it all into a powerful song. I'm excited for 2023 because I want to see more of 44. I would love to see some sort of a project and or significant collaboration this year. There are so many different things he can do and try, but regardless, I’m here for the journey.
