K-T3 & Underdawgbuju - KEN3
Weekly Music
K-T3 and Underdawgbuju have just released their long-awaited collaborative project, "KEN3," which includes the popular track "Billi Bag" for which I ended up shooting the music video too. In my opinion, K-T3 and Underdawgbuju are among the most impressive duos I've heard in recent months, with a natural chemistry and a similar sense of energy and style really brings these two together. They have so much in common, both have some of the best on-camera energy. Their energy on camera is just unmatched, never have I ever told someone to bring less energy for a shot. Cause most of the time, the artists don’t bring enough energy, but these two are just natural. They are also some of the best-dressed artists in the scene today. They push the boundaries and use their resources to the fullest. Buju has some of the more unique pieces of anyone that I know especially from the underground. K-T3's versatility shines through in this project, as he effortlessly blends grungy aesthetics with Rage and Hyperpop beats to create a sound that I find irresistible. Kile's powerful and deep voice adds depth and range to the tracks, particularly on "Billi Bag," "Leave Me Alone," "Ride Through" (featuring Von Zi), and "Ghost." Buju's distinctive voice also stands out, exuding energy and confidence on the mic, despite being a different person in real life. His punchy, aggressive delivery on "Billi Bag" and "All Love" is particularly noteworthy. The production of this project is superbly crafted, with a range of different vibes and styles to suit different moods. Despite the overall similarity in sound and aesthetic, the high-energy Rage on "Billi Bag," the catchy melody of "All Love," and the experimental "IME (Freestyle)" offer enough diversity to satisfy fans and to build some new ones in the process.
The project boasts several standout tracks that excel on every level. "All Love" stands out with one of the best beats in the entire project. Kile and Buju's catchy and melodious performances make this track unforgettable. "IME (Freestyle)" presents a unique and thumping instrumental with an unusual melody and an innovative flow from Buju. It's an experimental track that feels fresh and fitting within the context of the project. "Ghost" is another experimental track that showcases a different flow and rhythm. The opening's dark string instrumentals create a moody and gloomy atmosphere that is amplified by the hard-hitting 808 patterns. Kile and Buju's aggressive energy in their performances gives the music an amazing potential for live performances and for rocking out the crowd. This is one of the strong suits of this project, this entire EP would be the perfect rager experience. Tracks like “At The Block Party” are the perfect example of that highly aggressive party-like aesthetic that is just meant for those rager mosh pits. I could only imagine how crazy a crowd would go to this song and to the project, with their chemistry together, I can only imagine how crazy a set between these two would go. It’s definitely the most aggressive one of the bunch which I know a lot of people will like. "KEN3" is an excellent project that offers a lot of different sounds and vibes. It has its overall theme and aesthetic but you can get a good picture of how different some songs are when you compare “All Love,” and “At The Block Party.” I highly recommend looking into the project, especially if you’re a fan of the underground sound.
