Antwunn recently released his latest project, "Don't Hate What You See 3 (I Found Home)," which pleasantly surprised me after I received a track from the project titled "MIA." Over the last two years, Antwunn has demonstrated progress and diversity in his style which sets him apart. His unique lyrical rapping style, which I used to enjoy but grew tired of due to the sameness of conscious rappers, stands out in the crowd. Eminem, JID, and J. Cole are among the few who still differentiate themselves, while others appear to be copying and pasting their bars and flows. Antwunn, on the other hand, delivers profound lyrical content while also offering something fresh. His cadence is distinct, and his voice adds to his unique sound. Additionally, his music has mainstream appeal due to its melodic elements. His collaboration with Ty Lab on "What To Do?" is an excellent example of this. His hooks are catchy and melodic without being too obvious, and his lyrical content is authentic and accurate to his life experiences. He doesn't boast about being wealthy in his lyrics, which is a refreshing change from many others in the scene. He remains true to himself, which is something to appreciate and recognize. The project contains six tracks, one of which is an interlude. This interlude showcases Antwunn's authenticity and lets listeners see who he really is. My personal favorites from the project are "MIA," "Thanatophobia," and "War of Nerves Freestyle." I particularly enjoyed the a cappella on "Thanatophobia," even though it may not appeal to everyone. Antwunn's pure skill and talent in delivering his bars are evident in this track. The project also offers a more melodic tone on "Amazing," which features 44Mxrio, who did a fantastic job adding a melodic touch to the song. It sounded different from Antwunn's other tracks and that’s something I really enjoyed. The project is great from top to bottom. Everything from the production to the delivery and to the mixing and mastering was all done with precision and purpose. I’m excited to see where he goes next, he has some of the most interesting sounds coming out of the city and something that will definitely resonate with millions out there. It’s just a matter of time until everyone finds out.
