Keanu Richal recently released his latest single, "Make It Work," along with a stunning music video that catapults him to the forefront of the underground. I particularly enjoyed the Pino cameo and the overall concept of the video. It's straightforward but effective. Keanu is a gifted musician with a beautiful, angelic voice. He delivers his vocals in such a raw and pure manner. The lines "Let me know, let me know" feel genuine and raw. His melodies on this track don't sound like traditional ones; he created something that feels authentic while also sounding melodically unique. While this track has a similar vibe to many others, it provides a unique experience to any other counterpart out there. That's unusual, and I have to applaud Keanu for his inventiveness and artistic vision. His voice, as previously mentioned, continues to stand out to me as a significant factor in what distinguishes him from the crowd. On this track, there's something about his tone that feels new, and new is nearly impossible to come by in 2023. I'm not saying everything about the song is novel, but the way he delivers his vocals and the aesthetic he created around them are what make this track so powerful. The production and beat selection added a lot of atmosphere and depth to an already great artist. It accomplished its purpose without being overpowering. That is because, even after multiple listens, I couldn't recall the instrumentals, which may indicate that the track lacks something, but from a professional standpoint, it means that it was so good that it blended in with his vocals. That is something I haven't seen with many artists, and whether it was intentional or not is something any artist should investigate. It's similar to sound design or CGI in a film. If you know that a shot has post production effects and it's clear, it breaks your immersion and takes you out of it. That's how I feel about this song. I get so engrossed in the song that I don't remember anything but his vocals, and that is something special. I’m excited to continue to see Keanu’s career unfold, and I’m looking forward to some sort of a project in the near future.
