Gilbert Arenas - Speng Squire
Speng Squire
Speng Squire's most recent solo song, "Gilbert Arenas," features the most refined version of Speng we've heard so far. The song starts off with a strong and powerful instrumental/beat, and Speng immediately launches into his rapid and slick hook. Speng’s vocal range is utilized beautifully here. With his captivating rhymes and smooth beats, he elevates melodic rap to new heights. Speng continues to deliver some of the best energy in his music. The energy is unrivaled time after time, track after track. He doesn't have to yell to convey enthusiasm, which is something that some people misunderstand. He exudes a level of self-assurance that emits positive energy and lends weight to what he says. Speng's cadence is refined and mature, and it has a Wayne-like quality to it. Although there are elements that sound like him, Speng has perfected his own voice. I believe he has discovered the greatest tone for his voice and has tapped into his strengths. It doesn't get any better than this in terms of quality. Everything is done flawlessly, from the mixing to the mastering. This is one of my favorite songs from his entire discography. For a long time, he's been delivering the fire. He had a great year in 2021, releasing songs including "In The Ghetto," "Idc," and "Outside." All bringing something different to the table. He's finally gotten the attention he so rightfully deserves. His development has been exponential over the last year, and it's only the beginning. He'll take the globe by storm with songs like "Gilbert Arenas."
