Dozie is a talented artist coming out of Toronto. The presence of this classic hip-hop and afro-pop sound brings some of that flavour back to Toronto. His most recent single, "Two 2 Tango," showcased his more hip-hop side. The song begins with a great acoustic drum beat, which I haven't heard in a long time. Hearing acoustic instruments that don't sound digital in today's music is rare. So I love to see it be used here. The guitar riff background ad-libs add so much depth to the track. He does it in a natural way, his voice has this great tonality to it.  I love his delivery and flow; he effortlessly floats on the beat. I love the dynamic pitch changes throughout his delivery, it just matched the rhythm of the beat and it’s just so catchy. He drew me back in with the hook, and the classic overlapping vocals and grander instrumentals really set the tone for the rest of the track. It's such a catchy and memorable bit that it helps me remember the song. Something about that hook became so natural in my mind that I knew the lyrics after the first listen. His voice is an extremely important aspect of this style of rap; his perfectly pitched voice contributes to everything hitting even harder. He doesn't have an overly low or high-pitched voice; instead, he has a nice pitch that is both exciting and enjoyable when listened to for a long time. The mixing and mastering of the track were excellent; this track exudes retro vibes in every way. The clean mixing is something that has been lost in low-end productions since the internet era began. It's easier than ever to start making music, but very few people know how to mix and master it. Dozie appears to have things under control. I like his attention to detail and his music taste. Very classy yet vibrant. I would love to hear a full length project from Dozie, something like an album or even an EP would work.
