Devontée just released his latest single titled “EVERY WEEK.” Devontée has been making his waves for a minute. Releasing bangers like “MANEUVRE”, “ONE OF THOSE”, “U GOT ME, I GOT U.” His consistency and diversity in styles and beat selection is what is taking him far. His voice isn’t the most angelic thing out there but he uses the grittiness and the deep parts of his vocal tones to bring out the energy and the best his cadence can create. Devontée is someone that has made his talents rather than being born with something that is instantly recognizable. I’m in the same boat, my skills were learned not just god given and that’s something that is very special about Devontée. “EVERY WEEK” is the track that really just got me going. The energy is perfect for a workout session or an energy bursting track. It’s not a sit-down listen type of track. I feel like not all music is meant to be enjoyed through headphones on a sea. Some tracks are designed to be appreciated through the vibe they give and the energy they deliver. This may be one of my favorite tracks he’s released too. It’s well structured, it’s got the energy and the beat switches to showcase Devontée’s versatility. One of the most important aspects of his music is his cadence and delivery. He brings a great and powerful vocal tone to the table, his high mixing and production quality really tie everything together. Devontée has to find himself though when it comes to his overall sound. His ability to experiment is amazing but he needs to find that bread and butter delivery and beat style to really built that core fanbase. He has the look and cadence to really take shape into something massive and become a star. Devontée is not alone in this, many artists in the city get stuck at a point and I feel that all they need is a sound and beat selection that just sticks and resonates with the masses. Something that just brings a whole new feeling to the listener while making it enjoyable over and over again. “EVERY WEEK” is a dope energy driving track that would be perfect in a gym setting or something to pump up the aggression. Devontée brings a different type of production for a side of the market not many know about or really appreciate.
