MixTapper partners up with NC Capo for “Amanda.” They delivered some heat, with endless bars and quick flows that are both entertaining and full of substance. Tapper is one of my favorite lyrical rappers in the city; he exudes energy and confidence that is both inspirational and useful in establishing the lyrics and the message behind them. This tune highlights both artists' skills to provide lyrical authenticity as well as refined cadences. The tune begins with a build-up, and the instrumentals gradually increase the energy. Tapper enters during the build-up to maximize energy and tension till the beat drops. Tapper's poetic content is complemented by an excellent voice. He has the voice for R&B, he can evolve into so many different sounds it's insane. The skill is there which opens the doors to endless options. This expands his creative capabilities, and you can hear melodic tones on this tune doing their thing while he spits some hard lyrics. Capo held his own on the track, delivering a powerful and memorable verse. This is only his second official release too, so I'm looking forward to hearing what he comes up with next. This is a contrast to the extensive catalog Tapper has built. He's been consistently releasing bangers for some time, and he has received critical acclaim for his work. "Amanda" has yet to realize its full potential, but its inclusion on the Northern Bars playlist is no fluke. Tapper has found his lane and is one of the biggest coming out of it. I'm excited to see what he has in store for us next.
