"Wolf's Reign," Akari Stylze's full-length 12-track project, is a certified classic. His sound and style are a crazy mash-up of various elements all crammed into this one album. Akari has an underground plugnb/hyperpop sound with rock elements in "Midnight King" and traps rap tracks in songs like "Full Moon." I love how he puts his versatility on full display with this album. The thing is, I enjoy all of the sounds he approaches. I think "Midnight King" is something unique and special; the cadence and flow complement the powerful instrumentals. The key to Akari's incredible versatility is his cadence and flow approach. His vocal delivery and mixing are so well-crafted that he can fit so many different vibes and sounds. The most important aspect is that he discovered his sound; his cadence is very consistent throughout this album and it sounds perfect. He gives me Uzi vibes; his vocal style and delivery, as well as his versatility, remind me of the classic uzi Soundcloud sound, but with a massive sound update and a very original take. His cadence is so good that I believe he is ready for full marking push and mainstream. He has the sound and style to dominate the city's music scene and even make a significant impact in the United States. This project also features excellent overall production and beat selection. Some albums fail due to a lack of creativity or simply recycled sounds, while others fail due to a lack of good quality beat selection and production. With both, Akari hit the nail on the head. I like the aggressive beat choices and even the little creative interlude halfway through the album that gives meaning to the album's title. "Lost," "Genie," "Midnight King," "Magnificent," and "Better Than Me" are the songs that I will continue to play. With a wide range of tracks and sounds, this is easily the best album of 2022. The number of bangers on this album is undeniable; it feels more like a collection of great single tracks that would have worked perfectly as solo tracks than an album full of through aways. Akari's discography isn't extensive, but this album will stand out.
