Ultrrviolet has recently emerged on my radar with his latest release, "INFLUENCE," a captivating 7-track EP that exhibits a remarkably clean and polished sound for a hyperpop, rage-directed sound. This project took me by surprise, and from the moment I first listened to it, I was pleasantly impressed. The level of artistry and attention to detail displayed by Ultrrviolet in assembling this EP is truly commendable. One aspect that immediately caught my attention is the unique style and aesthetic that Ultrrviolet brings to the table with this project. It's evident that he ventured into new territory, delivering something refreshingly different. The beat selection throughout the EP is impeccable. There's a consistent sonic thread that weaves its way through the entire project, providing a cohesive and immersive experience throughout. The beats strike a delicate balance, staying unobtrusive enough to allow the tracks to breathe, while still delivering the necessary thump and atmosphere. What sets this project apart is the artistic and distinctive nature of the beats and instrumentals employed. Ultrrviolet deviates from typical instrument choices and beat patterns, infusing each track with a fresh and innovative sound. For instance, the EP opens with "duality," a track entirely driven by captivating instrumentals, devoid of a conventional beat. "what U think?" mostly relies on instrumentals as well, with a small beat section towards the end. These choices showcase Ultrrviolet's willingness to experiment and push boundaries. One of the most striking features of the EP is Ultrrviolet's voice and cadence. There's a certain quality to his vocal style that resonates deeply with me. It perfectly encapsulates the aesthetic he aims for and seamlessly aligns with the genre he has embraced. In my opinion, "by myself" stands out as the EP's pinnacle, allowing his cadence to shine in all its glory. Ultrrviolet possesses a middle-range voice that boasts a captivating balance of highs and lows. The mixing of his vocals is masterfully executed, utilizing tools to enhance his sound without veering into excessive editing or heavy autotune. Additionally, his voice carries a subtle rasp, adding a finishing touch to his overall sound. Ultrrviolet demonstrates a strong sense of rhythm, effortlessly flowing through each track. His bars and flows are undeniably catchy and addictive, capturing the audience's attention effectively. This was particularly evident in "by myself," which immediately caught me and left me wanting more. I find myself continuously drawn to this project, appreciating its quality with each moment that I get to play it from top to bottom. Given the caliber of "INFLUENCE," I eagerly await Ultrrviolet's future endeavors. I am excited to see the trajectory he takes and what he has in store for us next. The potential he has showcased through this project is undeniable, and it will be fascinating to witness his continued growth as an artist.
