Teach Me How To Love, Vol.1 - Hoodbaby Peppa
Hoodbaby Peppa
Peppa's most recent release, "Teach Me How To Love, Vol.1," is a three-track LP that showcases a different side of Peppa. The project begins with a track titled "What She Want." This one introduced us to a different side of Peppa and established the tone for the rest of the project. The slower instrumentals and more emotional vocal delivery truly highlights his versatility. He can spit some hard material, but hearing him in a more emotional state helps me appreciate his skill even more. His flows are always infectious and memorable. His line about losing his brother hits home, especially on this sort of material. The theme in these songs is some of the greatest in his discography; they are all about realistic circumstances. "4 Lifers" is the EP's second single, and it delivers yet another melodic masterpiece. It brings the s lower, lighter 808s and Peppa's melodic vocals bring out the emotion and the meaning behind his lyrics. I believe that quicker, higher-energy tracks often miss the target and do not always deliver the message, but here is a pure moment where we can actually hear Peppa out and understand him as a person a lot better. "Sorry If I Hurt You" is a darker song about murder and death. Peppa is in a scenario in which death is a natural part of existence, and you can hear his grief in his voice. Life that hasn't even had a chance to blossom is taken away by street politics. I'm delighted Peppa released this song because it's something unique coming from a Toronto street rapper, and ventures like these will only help Peppa's career and drive him into the spotlight. Peppa might very well have a lengthy career as an artist rather than a street rapper, and this endeavour is a good illustration of that. i’m excited to see where Peppa goes next.
