Lil Grayski - A Trip In My Unfocused Visions
Weekly Music
Lil Grayski just released his latest project titled “A Trip In My Unfocused Visions.” This 8-track project is filled with a multitude of great productions and a gritty sound that helps push this new direction Grayski is going in. His feature list on this project is really strong, we get appearances from acts like Misaa, Ultrrviolet, Yung Kaplun, and even Casper TNG. The dark gritty and metal aesthetic this project delivers is fantastic. I love that Destroy Lonely Opium sound, it’s like the modern rock hip-hop fusion that really feels like a breath of fresh air. Grayski has showcased his talents on his most popular track “Don’t Gotta Say” which got a remix with Casper TNG on the project. My favorite tracks of the project are “Unfocused Visions,” “Stacks” featuring Hunchovelly & Ultrrviolet, and “Again.” I personally love the opening track “Unfocused Visions,” this track opens up with a dark piano and a dark guitar riff. It’s a very unsettling sound that brings a lot of anticipation, a great way to open up the project. The beat here is insane, the high energy distorted 808s are what gives this song its backbone but the instruments established this dark gritty atmosphere that would carry itself throughout the project. Grayski delivers a great performance here, his cadence is at a very good spot. I truly feel like he found his pocket, his vocal range is great and I really like the range he normally stays in. His delivery style is confident and unorthodox which I really appreciate. His flows aren’t simple or predictable, which is hard to come across these days, especially in the genre of hip-hop Grayski is in. This project is a vibe and one that most hyperpop rage fans will love too. One of the other highlights of the project was “Stacks.” This track is filled with energy and delivers multiple performances from some of the new up-and-coming underground talents like Ultrrviolet. Grayski delivers yet another memorable performance, his cadence compared to everyone else’s is a much more full sound with a lot of mainstream potential. Ultrrviolet is someone that I feel can and with time will dominate the underground. He may not have that mainstream sound but that’s exactly what makes him so special. His performance here leaves a lasting impression. The contrast between Ultrrviolet and Grayski is fantastic, a great duo that I hope to see more of.
