The south side Jane rapper Hoodbaby, has just debuted his full-length mixtape, "LA MADE A VIBE," which includes 15 songs. This album offers a terrific glimpse into Hoodbaby from beginning to end, and it is really well put together. The album begins with a track named "LA MADE A VIBE," which is a powerful introduction. It contributes to the album's energy. This is in sharp contrast to the album's last tune, "Woah," which takes a slower, more Caribbean style. There are a few recognizable faces on the CD. Hoodbaby Rahrah appears on six of the tunes. OK Brazy, LB Spiffy, and NH$ Jay Jay all make appearances too on tracks like "Do or Die", "Don't Blame Em", & Gwan Easy". These are also strong features; it doesn't seem like they were doing him a favor, but rather took the music to heart and offered us a treat. The album maintains Hoodbaby's signature approach while also introducing us to some new styles and sounds. He brought a lot of energy and passion to this one, and it shows in the end result.
