Kwazii - I Was Perfect To Someone

Kwazii
has just officially released his long-awaited project titled “I Was Perfect To Someone”, and it’s every bit as incredible as fans were hoping for. This body of work takes listeners on a journey we’ve all been eager to experience. From the start, I knew Kwazii had the potential to become the next major artist to break out of Toronto, following in the footsteps of stars like Drake, and Tory Lanez. There’s something undeniably unique about Kwazii—something that’s hard to describe but easy to feel. His raw talent and skills shine in ways that set him apart from anyone else in the Toronto music scene right now. Kwazii’s sound and delivery are some of the strongest elements of his artistry, and this project captures them perfectly.
The album features eight tracks, three of which were previously released as singles: “White Flags,” “Leaving,” and “Full Circle.” Each of these songs showcases different sides of Kwazii’s talent, and the depth in his music is something I believe few artists can match. His lyrics carry a lot of weight and meaning, and this project, in particular, highlights that depth in every song. One standout track is “Full Circle,” which is truly a masterpiece. The production alone deserves praise—it creates an atmosphere that pulls you in from the very first note. Then, when Kwazii’s lyrics, delivery, and flow come together, it elevates the song to another level. “Full Circle” is one of those tracks that sticks with you long after it ends, and it perfectly blends melody and meaningful lyrics.
It’s reminiscent of the way artists like Drake and Tory Lanez can combine catchy tunes with deeper themes, making it appealing to a wide range of listeners. The project has a cohesive sound throughout, which is one of the reasons it stands out. It doesn’t feel like a random collection of songs; instead, it’s a well-structured journey. Kwazii plays with different tempos, giving something for everyone. Slower tracks like “Trust” really capture deep emotions and allow the listener to immerse themselves in the mood Kwazii creates. On the other hand, tracks like “Rude n Bad” bring a fun, upbeat energy that’s hard to resist. It’s a perfect balance of emotion and excitement. “Trust,” for example, uses its slower tempo to draw you into the atmosphere, making you feel every word and note.
“Lie Back 2 Me” is another slower track, full of vibrant, melodic sounds that hit just right. Then, there’s “407 Flow,” which opens the project on a strong note with its vibey, melodic feel that perfectly captures the essence of Kwazii and his connection to Toronto. Out of all the new songs, “Rude n Bad” is my personal favorite. There’s something about its vibe and energy that really speaks to me. Plus, it has the most memorable hook of the entire project, which I think will help it find success with a wide audience. In “I Was Perfect To Someone,” Kwazii’s range as an artist is on full display. From the production to the delivery to the meaning behind each song, this project is a complete experience. Kwazii and his team have truly outdone themselves, and I’m excited to see what they come up with next.
