Bundog, Pressa - Hollows
Weekly Music
Bundog and Pressa just released their latest track titled “Hollows” to massive critical acclaim. This duo has evolved into one of the most exciting to watch in Toronto. It's incredible to hear brothers who made it out create music together and have it sound this good. There are so many variables that are immeasurable, and that is the definition of being born to do it. Pressa has been doing his thing for a while now, but Bundog has proven that he is a very talented and impressive rapper. He's not just Pressa's brother, but a capable performer behind the microphone. I feel like some people have yet to realize this but tracks like "Hollow" really showcase his ability and far he can really go, he sounds natural too. "Hollow" is a fun, action-packed track with plenty of high-energy and memorable moments. The track opens right into Pressa’s hook with a high-energy beat and simple yet consistent instrumental. I really like Pressa’s cadence on this one, he has mastered his voice and sound. The mixing and mastering are of course excellent, but hearing Pressa sound this clean and commercial is something that I believe will propel him to new heights in the coming years. One thing that has held Toronto's street rap back was its very specific and very regional sound that was and would only really resonate with the city. Pressa has overcome this over the past two years delivering music that has and will continue to bring more and more global reach and support. Bundog delivered a fantastic and memorable verse; he has a slightly deeper tonality which makes him very different from Pressa unlike some people claim. Bundog has really built something powerful for himself. His brand is getting stronger by the day and he can stand on his own, his sound and confidence behind the mic are something that feels natural. The music video that accompanied the song was an excellent visual representation of the song. I love the festival footage from Rolling Loud, and the fast cuts and edits really drew me in and pushed the energy of the track even further. Pressa and Bundog are quickly becoming global stars in front of our eyes, and it's incredible to see them progress so far in their careers. I'm looking forward to seeing what Pressa and Bundog have in store for us next, I feel like a collab tape together would be just the perfect thing right now.
