Zach recently released his new single titled "Birthday Sex." The track has a very different sound and style than we expected from Zach. He really tapped into his rapping side, which surprised me when I first played it. It caught me off guard, but it also left me amazed and satisfied at the same time. I wasn't expecting that type of performance from Zach and I think he may be onto something here. His delivery and cadence have a great low end, and his vocal tonality and range make his rapping more melodic and exciting. He fits in perfectly with the melodic rap genre, and his beautiful vocal range allows him to create amazing hooks and amazing melodies that other rappers wouldn't be able to do without a great vocal foundation and experience. Most rappers would kill for that kind of voice, and those who develop it tend to move into a different genre. His rap voice is definitely reminiscent of Drake and Baby Keem. Something about it gives me those vibes, but in subtle ways that I can't quite put my finger on. His overall cadence, on the other hand, is unique and something I really enjoyed when I first heard it. It gives me elements of some other artists but he really brought in something a bit different in his on way. Seeing him release this, his versatility has increased significantly. When most singers attempt to rap, they simply repeat the same basic melodic sounds that have been recycled millions of times. Everything here is very well put together, from the beat selection to the cadence and delivery. The quality is as always top-notch with Zach. I haven’t heard a bad or mid mix, nor have I seen him force something that didn’t make sense to be original and I love that. I'm curious as to where this came from; Zach is a multi-talented artist whose abilities go beyond what I saw at first. Whether he makes a full tape or album with this sound, I’m here for the journey.
