Wave Montega - CATHARSIS
Weekly Music
Wave Montega recently released an album titled "CATHARSIS." That project resulted in some amazing music but one, in particular, stood out from the rest. That track is "WAWA." This is the most memorable of the project and the one that has reached the most eyes. This is also the song that drew my attention. On this track, I really like his cadence; he sounds very natural. His British roots contribute significantly to him sounding so natural behind the drill beat. But it's his confidence and energy that makes this track so great. That distinct British Canadian accent is exciting to hear; it's something different. Something about his cadence and flow behind the production draws me in. The album contains a number of memorable tracks, including "STEAM FISH," "PAINFUL," and "LESSONS." The project features a diverse range of sounds and productions. He delivers his trademark drill tracks while also delivering some fantastic melodic rap tracks such as "PAINFUL," "LESSONS," and "SIGNS." There are even some experimental tracks on the album, such as "UPPER ECHELON FREESTYLE." On this one, he delivers a very exciting and refreshing flow and vocal riff. It's unique, especially when compared to his other tracks on the album. I rate it heavy. He also has tracks with a higher emotional value, such as "CATHARSIS." He uses this tone of voice and a more broken-down flow to communicate with the audience. It's fantastic to see this level of diversity in the project, showcasing his true musical talents and versatility. The project also includes an intro track with a funny voice-over, an interlude track with some of the project's best melodies, and a powerful outro with the track "STEAM FISH." I like the structure of this project; it's unique, and its diversity has undoubtedly aided in its marketing push and reach. The drill tracks are his bread and butter, and they are what helped him build a fanbase, but his versatility and talent are truly showcased in this project by the vast library of sounds and styles he showcases. I'm excited to see where he goes next, with whom he collaborates next, and what he has in store for us.
