Swavy has just dropped his latest single titled "Fallback Queen," featuring the well-known Toronto supporter, Vory. It's an unexpected collaboration that turned out to be one of my favorite Vory collabs to date. This viby club banger feels like a great progression for Swavy. His performance on this track is truly fantastic, and his voice is something to marvel at. His vocal tone and range are incredible, and there are very few artists in the city who can match his level of versatility. When you combine great production with big quality features like Vory, you get something special like "Fallback Queen." The natural chemistry between Swavy and Vory in the song feels great, and their voices complement each other perfectly. The consistent melody throughout the piece adds a distinct style to the track. The production behind "Fallback Queen" is a standout feature. The instrumentals create a deep, rich, and larger-than-life atmosphere that I personally love. The beat itself is light, but it delivers exactly what the song needs. Those high notes Swavy is hitting at the beginning of the track are very impressive and suit the tonality of the overall production very well. What impresses me most is Swavy's vocal range. The way his melodies blend with the production creates a synergy that is becoming less common in the music scene. His soulful voice adds depth to the lyrics, and you can feel the emotions and energy just through his melodies, even without paying attention to the lyrics. Vory delivers a fantastic verse here. He continues the melodic vibe and showcases his underrated singing talent. While many might classify him as a rapper, his verse on this track proves otherwise. Both Swavy and Vory give memorable and effortless performances, and their flows feel fresh and inspired. I particularly enjoy how some of the lyrics don't always follow the typical beat and occasionally go offbeat in a good way. This unique approach adds an interesting dynamic to the song without going overboard. Of course, one must be careful not to go too far in breaking the regular flow, as that could lead to sounding like Blueface. It's essential to strike the right balance, which both Swavy and Vory manage skillfully. In conclusion, Swavy delivered another great single with “Fallback Queen.” The collab with Vory was unexpected but pleasant. I hope to see him collab with more artists past the border. This one felt natural and I can only imagine the list of amazing artists Swavy could collab with next. But an album is something I and the fans are long awaiting, so I can only imagine and hope for some kind of project in the near future.
