Friyie just released his latest single, "Sorry Not Sorry," which garnered a lot of attention and excitement following the video teaser. Friyie delivered yet another hard-hitting tune with his classic trademark cadence on drill beat. Friyie's production is always top-notch, and I appreciate how confident he has been since the beginning; seeing that progression is incredible. The style shift, the new look, and now the full-fledged brand he's launched are all on the rise. Toronto drill is a particularly cool subgenre with its own unique touch. It borrows from UK drill and New York drill while adding our own unique twist. Friyie is stepping into drill rap and delivering his story.  The music video really brought the song to life, and it's a fantastic reflection of his ANF (Aint Nothing Fee) brand and moniker. The video features a number of his homies reaping the branded masks and flags throughout the video, which was directed by Zacfacts, a well-known director in the city. The video concluded with a fantastic preview of another track that will be released very soon. It had a completely different vibe and energy to it. It demonstrates Friyie's versatility and power behind the mic. I'm looking forward to hearing the whole track and hopefully a future full-length project.
