These days, a lot of music doesn't make you feel anything, but Slayde's music is full of emotion and energy. A lot of artists these days are fake, from their music to their personalities, but I know Slayde and I can truly say that Slayde is one of a kind. "New To This..." is a really catchy and memorable song, while also giving me some unique artistic tones. Slayde has a way of tying in a very catchy and memorable hook/ line that gets stuck in your head. These lines and hooks can sometimes be the reason to wanna stream the songs more than a few times. It's an important part of a successful song, and Slayde has figured out how to combine his emotions and love for music with smart business strategies that will definitely take his music further. The song starts with a dreamy and atmospheric sound. It definitely sets the mood for the entire song. It has this high vibrant energy that makes you feel happy and excited. I love the atmosphere and vibe that Slayde brings to his music. There's always a purpose behind his songs, and that's something I really appreciate about him. His sound is a mix of R&B and alternative, and it's really unique and fresh. I haven't heard anything like it before especially not in Canada. Since I started listening to Slayde, his music has become even more elaborate and special. The production of the song is amazing. The percussion is punchy and vibrant. It's not just there to sound flashy, it serves a purpose. A lot of music these days feels repetitive and has unnecessary production, but Slayde knows how to use his instruments to tell a story. It's not just for fun. Some of his finest production was done on his last project titled “to heal from inner scars, part two.” “Oh, to heal” is a perfect track for that raw acoustic experience that just takes you to another planet when you listen to it. Truly something special. "New To This..." feels like the beginning of something big. Slayde has a project coming out soon, and this song is part of that. He has managed to make the song sound mainstream while still keeping his unique artistic style. This blend is what will take him to the next level, and I can only imagine how big his project is going to be.
