has recently unveiled his latest musical endeavor: a 3-pack EP entitled “HARTTBREAK/ am I enough?.” Despite the three songs on this project, this release is effectively a two-piece, with the third track, “JUST LIKE CANDY,” having already been in circulation for several months—a track we've previously covered. This tactic involves bolstering streaming numbers by incorporating pre-existing tracks into new releases, a seemingly simple yet remarkably effective concept that is gaining traction within the industry. But what sets RUSSELL! apart is the quality of his music. The two new songs, “HARTTBREAK” and “am I enough?,” stand out as some of his best work to date. "HARTTBREAK" is particularly captivating, with its raw, emotive energy and powerful vocal performance. RUSSELL’s personal take on the new release. “HARTTBREAK is a special one for me. I’ve always loved piano ballads and have wanted to release my own for such a long time. I think there’s a lot of genuine vulnerability with this one that explains the inner thoughts and feelings of a man going through a breakup.” Regarding, “am I enough?”, he also says, “‘am I enough?’ is also a special record to me. I wrote it during a very dark period of my life where I felt a lot of frustration with who I was as a person and as somebody in the entertainment industry.”
The song's structure keeps the momentum going, building up with fuller instrumentals and background vocals that add depth to the sound. Despite its nearly five-minute runtime, RUSSELL! manages to captivate with a masterful performance.
