Public Enemy 4301 - Sha Hustle

Sha Hustle's most recent project is a five-track EP titled "Public Enemy 4301". Sha is someone that has entered the scene with a unique sound for Toronto. His varied flow throughout the tracklist is what keeps you wanting to hear more. The most popular single on the EP, "Drip Drop," features a softer, more mellow voice that reminds me of Kendrick Lamar. This may or may not be what others see but there is something to it that just sticks out to me. "4301 What You Know About It" is a quicker, more energetic tune, with a greater thump from the beat and faster but yet pleasant flows and cadence. It’s similar to another track in Sha’s discography titled “Compton”. It’s got that similar bouncy beat and flow that is extremely memorable and catchy. For the most part, "Whole Lotta" has that distinct vibe. Sha's vocals are more auto-tuned, and the instrumentals are a mix of different sounds with a powerful gritty 808. This one has that trap sound mix with some underground elements. "G Way" is a very forceful and powerful track. The beat and the deep powerful instrumentals are paired with his gritty and inspirational lyrics. Sha is conveying a story with this one. His flow is bouncy and consistent. Sha's voice is the one thing that doesn’t really change throughout the EP. There are moments of slight changes like more autotune or more emphasized lyrics. Sha’s voice is best described as being mellow, yet forceful, emotionless, yet impacting. This is just what I personally got from it. Everyone will walk away with a different experience but there is something that is undeniable. This is a very well-crafted EP with no disappointments. Sha continues to improve and evolve as an artist, and the tracklist is full of unique and great sounds that showcase Sha's talents and his musical influences.
