Omari Shakir’s most recent release is a full length project titled “Princemichaeljacksonrickjames”.  Long name, but one-of-a-kind. It has a total of 12 singles, with "London Fog" being my particular favourite. On so many levels, this song delivered. The instrumentals and beat kick off with a high energy flute rhythm and a subtle 808 kick that gives just enough oomph and a backbone to the track. Omari delivered an excellent performance; his delivery flow and cadence are flawless. He has undoubtedly mastered his sound and cadence, and his mixing approach is unique. His speech and flows are confident and catchy. His melodious tone aids in making his hook memorable and catchy. The song has a joyful air to it, making it a terrific club track while also providing some substance in his verse. This is something that can be said about the entire album. It features many various vibes on it, such as "No Smoke," which is a high energy track, as well as some more gentle musical melodies like "FKOA." This album is a fantastic piece of work, with the major hit tune "London Fog" making it onto the Spotify Nothern Bars playlist. It’s captivating atmospheric and nature draws listeners in and leaves them with something to remember. The project is nicely put together, with amazing production, a terrific performance from Omari, and an overall entertaining, original album with some hard hitting melodies. Excited to see where Omari goes next and what new he's got planned for us.
