Portion returns with a new banger dubbed "Eastside." Portion partnered with Toosii, a really outstanding US artist. On this record, they both sound fantastic together. Portion gave yet another amazing verse with a memorable catchy heavy melody. His cadence is contagious, and his back-and-forth with Toosii on the tune was flawless. Toosii did his thing, giving a powerful verse and contributing to the hook. The production quality is, as always, excellent, which many people ignore yet is a significant factor at the end of the day. The instrumentals elevate everything; they bring the energy and set the tone. This has a darker vibe to it, with smooth flows and passionate delivery. Portion delivers some strong melodies that are catchy and sonically upbeat. It's exciting to watch Toronto artists grow and collaborate with US artists. They bridged the gap and brought US audiences here, something I can only admire. Portion is ready to grow, and this single will undoubtedly open the floodgates to a whole new level of eyes and ears. This song was followed by a cinematic music video, which weirdly did not feature Toosii, but I can see how difficult it is to get someone like him to make a video. This single was from top to bottom a classic and will definitely be on my playlist.
