Divine Lightbody

has just dropped her new single titled "homies," and I have to say, she’s got one of the most amazing voices I’ve heard in a long time. This song is truly something special. Divine's voice gives me major SZA vibes—it’s soft yet powerful, with a style and delivery that reminds me a lot of her. If you’re into slow, vocal-focused songs, this one will definitely hit the spot. Tracks like these require a unique kind of talent, and Divine’s performance showcases her vocal skills in the best way possible. The production of "homies" is top-notch. I’m really impressed by the choice of acoustic instruments here.

There’s an acoustic guitar and drums that play throughout the track, and I just can’t get enough of them. There’s something so raw and genuine about the sound of acoustic instruments that always resonates with me, and they work perfectly in this song. The vibe of the production is spot on—it provides the right kind of support for Divine’s voice without ever taking the spotlight away from her. Too often, I hear songs where the production is so heavy that it overshadows the artist’s performance, and it takes away from the overall experience. But that’s not the case here. In my opinion, the best productions are the ones you don’t even notice—

they serve their purpose quietly, enhancing the vocals without drawing too much attention to themselves. That’s exactly what happens in "homies." Divine’s voice is the star of the show, and the production does a fantastic job of supporting her without getting in the way. Divine’s vocal performance on this track is something else entirely. It’s been a while since I’ve heard something this good. The emotion and power in her voice are so real and so raw, that it’s hard not to be moved by it. She really pours her heart into this song, and you can feel it in every note she sings. It’s the kind of performance that sticks with you long after the song is over.

The cover art for "homies" is another thing worth talking about. I love how simple yet striking it is. The image is colorful and has a cinematic quality that catches your eye right away. Even though I usually don’t like text on cover arts, I have to admit that it’s done really well here. There’s something about covers that are just images that give them a more iconic feel—kind of like how practical effects in movies often look better than CGI. The cover for "homies" has that same kind of timeless quality, and it adds to the overall vibe of the song. To conclude, “homies” is a track you need to experience, it’s hard to find quality music like this these days so when we do, we need to show our support.
