10K Moss

just dropped arguably his most exciting piece of music in recent times featuring Wxvy Jackson. The energy in this song is just unmatched. Music quality is one thing, but the energy and emotion a song gives is something different. “ILKK” delivers this gritty, dark electric production that’s inspired by Destroy Lonely’s most popular single “If Looks Could Kill.” I love the guitar riff, it’s one of the main things that stood out in the Destroy Lonely beat and it’s also the thing that stood out in the production of “ILKK.” A notable trend in the underground music scene is the adoption of a rockstar aesthetic and sound. Opium plays a significant role, but numerous artists are putting their own spin on it. Despite the familiarity of its production, "ILKK" introduces a fresh and exciting dimension to the genre. The collaboration between Moss and Wxvy proves to be a winning combination. Moss's hook is not only catchy but also infectious and memorable – the trifecta essential for any hit. Meanwhile, Jackson contributes a fantastic verse filled with clever bars and a distinctive cadence that complements Moss's style. The synergy between Moss and Wxvy is evident in their contrasting voices, a key factor in their collaborative success.

Moss's voice and cadence align perfectly with the new sound and aesthetic he's embraced. Moss has the perfect voice and cadence for this new sound and aesthetic direction he has taken. He sounds like a natural, I like his deeper voice a lot more. Compared to his earlier work, his vocal tonality was always a lot higher pitched, which still sounds and works well I feel like there is something dope about his deeper voice that I think he needs to utilize a lot more. It just has something about it that screams established and confident. Wxvy on the other hand delivers higher-pitched vocals that create a harmonious contrast with Moss. Their collaboration provides a refreshing experience for listeners throughout the song. In an industry where monotony can set in due to similar-sounding artists, Moss and Wxvy stand out. Their ability to offer a distinctive sound sets them apart, making them a breath of fresh air.  I’m excited for the future of these two, it seems like they have a good idea of what they are doing and are part of the change the underground Toronto scene needs. I’m excited to see where these two go next.
