You Deserve Better by Ty Lab

Ty Lab has just released a three-track EP, "Alone At Midnight." "You Deserve Better" is a fantastic track with incredible vocals, high-end production, and clever lyrical play. Ty has one of the best voices in town; he has a great vibrato and his vocal tone is just right. He has something unique to offer, which is reflected in the music he is releasing. Everything from the production to the mixing to the mastering is of exceptional quality. Ty delivered a phenomenal performance, his emotionally filled lyrics and impeccable melodies are infectious and memorable. His confidence behind the microphone is palpable, and his delivery is intense and passionate. Sometimes artists sound like they are forcing the music, like it may sound unnatural or dull. But Ty gets the energy and natural vibes across very well. His vocal range is fantastic, he’s already tapping into his potential here. I can't get enough of his vocals; he has this rich tonality and depth that gives the impression of a large soundstage. The instrumentals provide the track with a much-needed backbone and undertone. It's a simple beat and instrumental combo, but it works very well. The drums' bass, snare, and rim pattern is simple, but it works so well here. I love it when an artist can really show off their vocal abilities, especially when it comes to R&B. There is a big market for R&B and Toronto seems to be one the biggest and most talented in that field aside from LA of course. Ty is among the top of these artists, his music from the vocal, to the mixing and even down to the production is fantastic and very well put together. The three-pack was fantastic; no song was better than the other, and the sound and style were consistent throughout. I'm curious to see what Ty does next and with whom he might collaborate. A Pino or Amari Flow collaboration would be legendary, in my opinion. Regardless, I'm here for the ride and can't wait to see what happens next.
