Casper has returned and is back in full swing. His most recent single, "Dubber Don," is another classic hit. Casper simply does not know how to miss, he just keeps getting better and better. His return is huge news for the city; he is an important part of Toronto's current music scene, and his music never gets old. There's something about it that, while it may not be the best artistically in some people's eyes, it hits hard and that, in my opinion, is more important. His level of confidence comes from experience, and his music feels like it's full of those crazy life experiences that very few have truly lived through. It may not be this track specifically but something that underlines Casper’s music and what makes it so addictive is the message and the fact that what he says he actually does, most rappers cap but not Casper. The track opens up with a powerful and fun instrumental. This is heightened by Casper's classic action-packed ad-libs at the start, which builds up the energy and set the tone for the rest of the track. Casper has one of the most consistent flows and delivery styles in the scene. He never fails to deliver, which is one of the reasons he has such a devoted fanbase. Casper’s camera presence is something I always look forward to every time he drops. Something about him just brings so much positive energy to the table. So when he drops a hit, you know it'll be accompanied by a dope video. The video for "Dubber Don" is a fun action-packed cinematic video that just delivers the right amount of fun while enhancing the overall experience of the track. It's also great to see Casper having fun; it's a great visual and a more personal experience knowing it's the first one since his release from prison. Casper has been through a lot, and it shows in his music. I'm looking forward to seeing where Casper goes next. He has the potential to become Toronto's top dog again and to aggressively expand into the United States, as his fellow artist Pressa has done. Regardless, I feel like the fans want an album and the timing is perfect. He’s revealed the track list for his next studio album titled “The Neighbourhood Ghost.”
