It could be the first trend to emerge from the city in a long time, and I applaud GUCCI and the OVO team for that. It's awesome to see someone like GUCCI's music reaching so many new people and his name becoming much more well-known. The song has a really fun and punchy energy to it. It has a great vibe and is a huge party song. It's not overly lyrical or profound, and it places a strong emphasis on energy and excitement which is something I really enjoy. I particularly enjoyed his music video for "Bora Bora" because it transports you to the ideal setting for this song. This song will be in every club in Toronto, and most likely in some major cities across the United States. GUCCI has demonstrated his abilities and versatility in the same project as "Bora Bora," titled "Big Screen." There are many classics of that project, Gangsta Gentlemen," "10 out of 10," and "Drillin" just to name a few. GUCCI has a flow and cadence that exudes a lot of energy. I like how he just has fun with it; he's making vibe out music, which for some may seem easy but trust me it's something reserved for the few. GUCCI has been in the game for a while, so seeing him continue to get numbers and reach new heights is a sight to behold. The simple yet catchy hook is what makes this song a classic; it's also the part of the song that has become popular. The #BoraBoraChallenge is appropriately named. The videos show females transitioning from their regular day clothes to a more dressy and club ready appearance. It's a cool idea that works well on camera and isn't difficult to execute. The challenge is gaining traction, and I expect it to be one of the more popular on TikTok in the coming weeks. Regardless, I'm excited for some new GUCCI. We need another album or a single featuring Drizzy. Something big to follow up this massive moment.
