Zhali
Toronto artist blog.
Zhali is a young star from the city who has a lot of powerful tracks and a lot to prove. He's been working hard for a few years now, and the improvement he's made in that time has been incredible. Guss, another extremely great artist, introduced me to Zhali. I became a fan and was fascinated after hearing about his project, "Perfect Love Storm." His tone, cadence, and delivery are a mash-up of many diverse components, and his versatility is on display in projects like "Perfect Love Storm," as well as songs like "Abu Dhabi," "Diva," and "War." Over the years, he has honed his cadence. Over time, he has grown more confident, and his delivery has substantially improved. His melodic approach is one that cannot and will not be overlooked by anyone who hears his music. He has some of the strongest melodies in all of Toronto rap. Zhali's discography began dates back to 2018 with the single "Enough." The track is fantastic, and both Zhali and SB performed admirably. The music is good, but it lacks the polished cadence of today's singles like "HOTEL ROOM." His following single, "Go there," was released a full year later. This tune already illustrates the sound that Zhali will fully embrace over the next few years. In 2020 he released a single called "The One." This track brings out the best in Zhali; his vocal delivery is amazing and a significant improvement over his prior releases. The melodies are on point and the delivery is more confident. The same may be stated of the beat and instrumentals. All of this with a higher-end production value, which would be a major priority for Zhali in the following years. This same year he released a 7 track EP titled “Patient Zero”. This project delivered us hits like "Save You," "Frozen," and "Talk About It." This, I believe, is the project that really pulled Zhali together and showcased his talents. One thing is for certain, he can make a great project. Even this older project is faultless and nearly a no-skip project. This brings us to the year 2021. This is unquestionably the year he began his professional career; 2020 was a wonderful year for figuring things out and having some big names on his records, but this year his sound, quality, consistency, and value improved. The year was jam-packed with songs including "Push To Start," "Next Up," and "KNOW," as well as his six-track EP "Perfect Love Storm." The EP gave a fantastic experience and a great range of sounds. This brings us to the present day and the year 2022.
