Zach Zoya
Toronto artist blog.
The Montreal native, Zach Zoya is basically a certified hitmaker. Zach makes some of the best music coming out of Canada, from the technical to the consumer side. His voice is beautiful on its own, but it is the way he uses it that distinguishes him. His music has a larger-than-life aspect to it, and it has worldwide appeal, something few people can honestly claim. His music has no boundaries and appeals to people of all ages. Singles like "Paving The Way" show how Zach combines his vocal range, perfected melodies, and rhythmic verses with talents like Speng Squire, who has tremendous rap skills and contributes something unique to the table. "Start Over" is one of Zach's finest singles to date. The enticing hook Simply becomes stuck in your thoughts. His rhythmic verse continues the vocal tones and adds substance. On Spotify alone, it has garnered over 888,000 streams. This is unquestionably a global radio smash song, ideal for a sunny summer drive. His discography includes hit tracks such as "Patience," "Le Cap," and "Who Dat." His discography began in 2017 with his single "Superficial." This track is a wonderful representation of Zaches' talent, however, you can hear the lower-end instrumentals and solid mixing in comparison to his most recent work, which has pushed these components to new heights. 2018 saw the release of one song titled "Who Dat," as well as a five-track EP, "Misstape." This mixtape contains quality singles such as "Stake," "Everyday," and "Numb." This is a much more experimental and hip-hop-inspired tape that demonstrates Zach's flexibility. Zach skips 2019 entirely and head jumps into 2020. He released three songs and a five-track EP titled "Spectrum." "Slupee," "Le Cap," and "In Da Way" are among the songs released in the EP and as separate singles. This makes it only a total of 5 unique singles for the year. "Slupee" is a tremendous departure from what we've come to expect from Zach, and I adore it. The harsher, more gritty hip-hop adds a new level of adaptability to Zach's arsine. His second single, "Le Cap," is a melodious rap coming from a talented singer. His vocal range is wide, allowing him to explore and make new sounds. "In Da Way" is a melodic hip-hop track with a powerful beat and catchy rhythms. Diving into 2021, this was a fantastic year, with the most perfected version of Zach we'd ever heard. He kicks off the year with "Cold World," a melodious bouncing track. His new song, "Feeling," is the first since 2017 to feature this clean vocal style with simple yet strong instrumentals/beat. His music basically kept going in that way throughout "Won't Put U Through That" and "Start Over." "Understand" is a fun hip-hop/pop mix. The essential point to remember is that there is no box you can or should place Zach in. He is in his own lane, and your love and support should be directed toward his craft rather than a certain song or style of his. This is something an artist needs and Zach is someone that will continue to evolve and develop himself without ever settling on one thing.
