Sinzere
Toronto artist blog.
Sinzere, a Toronto artist has this unique and innovative lyrical voice that is both forceful and assertive. Her melodic tone in her speech is the frosting on the cake. Sinzere also speaks about highly important societal topics in a mature tone that sticks out. Looking over her discography, I noticed that she has only been officially publishing since 2019 with her first single, "Posers." This tune features a more raw version of who she is today, as well as a more experimental mix. Sinzere's following album, "Animals," was a significant step up, with a considerably more forceful voice and delivery. The hook was delivered aggressively and energetically. It provided the music with a memorable flair while also bringing something new to the table. Sinzere finished the year with a six-track EP titled "Ghetto Gabby." This project included the two previous singles as well as four new tracks, my personal favorites being "Ghetto," "Belly of the Beast," and "Animals." This project took the sound and aesthetic that we were originally introduced to with "Posers" earlier that year and provided us with a superb first project that really pulled it all together. 2020 was a lot busier year for her, with the first release, "Let's Get It," sounding similar to her past work but with a more refined and matured tone. It also brought a higher-quality mix to the table to tie everything together. Sinzere's next effort, "Buy Back the Block," is a 6-track EP. This project definitely delivers us a more clinical lyrical rap style with vintage 90s sounds and throwback vibes. The next release, "Go," was something powerful, from the message to the quality of the sound to the cover art, which was all executed so beautifully and demonstrated that rapid progression. The consistency and quality of the work would continue to improve, leading us to the most recent release, "Tricky." This song was included in the playlist Northern Bars. This tune incorporates all of the elements she has developed over the years. The energetic confidence, wonderful melodic vocals, hard spitting bars, and forceful delivery all combine to form one of her best singles. It conveys an essential message and is in the Sinzere style, but the delivery and melodic nature make it so appealing to the general public. Something her previous music couldn't do. I enjoy listening to music that conveys a message and tone that is vital for people to hear, but it does so in a way that is not only easy to digest but also highly appealing to a broad audience. Sinzere's evolution has been incredible to watch, and I can only imagine what's next. Whatever it is, it will come from the heart and give something significant.
