Pengz is a fast-growing powerhouse in the Toronto drill scene. His music brings a new level of excitement to the music scene in a way of delivering some real hard rap lyrics with a powerful and confident flow and a cadence that just gets stuck in your head. He’s one of the few that makes this style of music sound industry and sound refined. Everything from the production to the bars, flow, and delivery is all done with purpose and confidence. That confidence comes from living the life he talks about but also from the peers around him. He’s one of the artists on the 3M crew founded by the popular 3mFrench. Pengz just delivers this raw gritty cadence with high production value beats and it’s something that is massively praised by many. Knowing all that we can take a look at his discography. His catalog is small yet powerful. His first single was titled “Griselda Blanco” released back in 2017. His cadence and delivery is very similar to what he does today, with a slightly less mature production. But this was his first single. His next release would be a whole 4 years later in 2021 titled “Beat Back Freestyle”. He released other singles like “Gangsta” which delivered a high-energy performance that shook the city. He ends the year with a 6ixbuzz collab titled “Alejandro Sosa”. This is a more slick track where he talks his shit and showcased his versatility. He even delivered some Spanish bars that went insane and were a pleasant surprise. The present year 2022 has been the best year, he has released his best music yet and his name has been blowing up. His year began with a single titled “Eastern Conference”, its bars after bars of pure heat in a freestyle form. His next single was and still is my personal favorite”Igloo”. This track delivers lyrically, melodically, and in its production. It’s got a catchy hook and his cadence is just so powerful and memorable. This leaves us with his most recent release which was a 7-track EP titled “Can’t Make This Shit Up” with 6ixbuzz. It gave us classics like ”Free Chaotic”, “Victoria Park”, and of course “Igloo”. Pengz is a special talent that brings a deep powerful voice to the city. He’s someone that will undoubtedly be a star and one that will bring something special with him.
