Ronit is an artist I have had my eyes on for the last few months. I have featured his music on the track of the week for August titled “When I’m With You”. I have been keeping up with all of Ronit’s releases and have been blown away by the quality of the music. He has really showcased to me that there are artists of all levels in the underground in the city. I have heard some incredible artists in the underground but nothing that sounds like this and at the level he does it. This doesn’t mean he can’t improve or continue to level up but he has something that a lot of successful artists don’t. He brings something fresh to the table with his sound and style. Something different, “Slow Nostalgia” is the perfect example of what I’m talking about. That slow melodic and angelic voice on a powerful instrumental yet it sounds like it’s meant to be. That is just one of many things Ronit does that makes him stand out and that is always something I’m looking for.

Ronit’s discography is pretty small but powerful. The first track that got my attention is “When I’m With You”. it hooked me in, that is a very important element of music. Getting someone hooked isn't easy but is what Ronit brings to the table. I’m not surprised why I loved it. His latest release titled “Slow Nostalgia” is just another level of what Ronit can do, Akshay did a great job bringing something different to the table and they both contrasted perfectly. “Outside” is another melodic masterpiece, he taps into something deep and his vocals help push that emotion onto the listener a lot faster than they would have trying to process the lyrics. These are just some of his recent work, you can tell just from these Ronit has been at it for a few years perfecting his craft. His earlier work is different from his new sound but you can tell where he came from, being a lyrical rapper. Tracks like “Legacy / Palisades” & “No Guidance” are perfect examples. “Keep You Safe” is not only Ronit’s most-streamed track sitting at 39,000 streams on Spotify. But it’s the first track that brings elements of the Ronit we know today. Ronit has developed his sound over some time and I love to see when someone has found their place in the game.
