Pvrx is one talented artist residing from Rexdale. Pvrx is not just another rapper, he got something special going for him. His versatility is heard from tracks like “Stay with me”, “Drill” and his latest release titled “silence is golden”. These are just some of his records in his pretty well verst discography of over 12 singles and a short project titled “3.14”. This EP really expanded Pvrx’s sound and his reach, the opener titled “Make it” is just such a left-field to his normal work but it’s refreshing to see and it adds to his arsenal and his versatility. The softer slower approach is something that doesn’t come across when you first see and hear Prvx but when you dig deeper and discover his true potential you really start to believe in his movement. 3.14 is a fantastic EP with a deeper look into Prvx that you may not get in his single releases. This EP really showcased Prvx in a different way that I didn’t expect before and I personally enjoyed it more than his drill. This is where the true potential really revealed itself and I got hooked.

Prvx is a signed artist, he’s signed to Defjam records. The majority of artists we cover are mostly underground. But I feel that Prvx is still just in his early stages and is working his way to the next level. I can see something growing into a major artist but he needs to find that hit record to bring all the eyes to him. Last year “Gange code” was the closest to that. that brought a lot of new eyes to Prvx and it’s how we discovered him. It still sits as his most streamed track at 623,000 streams on Spotify. This track really took off in the city, it really embodied that US sound with the higher-pitched Lil Tjay sound as most people referred to. Prvx is someone who has the resources to make a hit record but it may not be something he is looking for. The gradual slow growth is way more respected and will last longer than an overnight blows up like most artists in 2021. I instantly got that vibe when I heard his EP but that’s something I can’t pinpoint and can on speculate based on his moves.

The overall talent of Prvx is understated, he has something special to bring to the music scene. His versatility alone has my respect and the music he makes is something that will influence rather than disprove or push a specific narrative. That alone deserves all the respect and love, but at this moment in time, the city won’t fully appreciate him and his music. The music scene in Toronto and Canada is starting to go into a revolution and in places like this DMTV, people like me are the driving force of this change. There will be a music scene in the city very shortly unlike the free for we have now. What we have now isn’t a music scene, it’s just a few artists signing US deals and dipping, and those that don’t and stay here don’t make anything of themselves because there is no unification. The only way you succeed is if I succeed and that principle hasn’t been realized by the older music generation and it’s time for us to change that. Prvx is going to be at the forefront of this revolution and maybe then he will get his flowers.
