Karl Kaay is something special in the making. He is still very new and fresh on the scene. He’s a new sound for Toronto. “What do you think” is the first commercial drop for Karl, with a DMTV music video Directed by (Maxim Bayarsky) to accompany. The product was very well received and has grown to levels we didn’t expect. This is his most-streamed single with just under 10,000 streams. An amazing achievement for Karl and a sign of what’s to come in the future. This is definitely the best-combined track and video drop in both Karl’s early career and our Platform’s short history. The momentum was so great that people around the world were starting to hear it and making dance videos to it. The momentum was building. Karl later released his first EP on March 19th with hard hitters like “Moon”, “Move on”, and “Time” being my favorites. Karl really stretches his sound across these tracks. Each one bringing something new and fresh to the table. The flow changes and rhythmic range between these three are what make Karl different and unique. “What do you think” appeared on the EP as track number 2. “What do you think” is a masterpiece, a perfect blend of sounds and flows as well as style mashups. They all go hand and hand to create something super catchy and memorable. Karl has that bright energy to him that makes him so likable and something that will continue to help him in his long music career. Karl is heading in a fantastic direction with a fantastic first EP and a great first buzzing single. The reach and possibilities are endless and I can’t wait to see what Karl does next.
