Don Flow is a unique yet fantastic artist coming from Toronto. He really brings something special to the table. His lyrics, rhythms, and cadence are great. He knows his way around a mic, his flow is great yet different in many ways. I love how he bends his voice around some of the words, he really accentuates his words in a very interesting yet satisfying way. Don Flow is still an early name in the game yet he has already gained and achieved a lot. He has only three records under his belt but has already established his sound. The main appeal is that he doesn’t sound like a Toronto artist. Like I said earlier, he brings something new and fresh into the Toronto scene and that is something I love seeing. I started this platform and Company to do something different, to take Toronto in more than one direction and give it a new meaning to being a Toronto artist. “Fuxk Princeton & Yale” is a masterpiece. He really goes all out on this track, Don’s lyrics, rhythms are on point. His flow and cadence is something else, really takes things to a whole new level. I can’t begin to imagine the amazing video ideas and movies that can come out of these tracks to really take him to the next level. The music quality is already there, the style is established and the vision is clear. With some minor adjustments, I can see Don really going far, targetting the US demographic will help a lot with gaining larger numbers but it’s important to stay true to your home. There is a great example of an artist named Nightlovell, who is a Canadian artist who has literally created his own sound and potentially Genre. There are no boundaries for Canadian artists just that you need to get yourself over to the states to really help push that. I can’t wait to see what Don has in store for us next.
