Calvin Moon is a very unique and creative talent. His music, clothing, and general energy speak for themselves. From the start, he is someone who is making his own wave. Calvin has been releasing some unique music over the last year, and it's been fascinating to watch his growth. Looking through his discography makes you appreciate his abilities even more. But one thing I love about this new wave of talent in the city is that they all have their own identity. Calvin is the pinnacle of a person with his own identity and brand. Knowing all of this, his music becomes much more powerful. Calvin's style is truly unique; he does not sound like anyone else. That's why I can't compare him to anyone, and why I believe he deserves to be pushed and recognized for that. His music has only recently become polished, and I believe he will only rise from here. You can see in Calvin’s look and music style now that he is a performer first.  He has some of the best underground performances of any artist. His energy is unrivaled, and this is how you should evaluate his music. It's not for everyone, but if you mess with it, you really mess with it. This is something that not many artists can say; they may have hits and a sound that everyone can enjoy, but that doesn't mean they'll last long or even captivate any fans. 24kGolden is a perfect example, with great music and mass market appeal but no true fans. Calvin already has a small fanbase that supports him, and his shows are a great indicator of what's to come. His discography dates back to early 2019. This does not imply that he started in 2019, but he did start seriously releasing around that time. His first single, "Butter Bean Bear," begins with a very simple acoustic instrument playing a few chords. Calvin gets on, and you can tell he's just messing around and experimenting. There isn't much confidence or energy behind his delivery, but you can already hear the voice that would become Calvin. This would be followed by "Honor Roll" and his first project, "CALVIN THE INVISIBLE." You can hear him improving with each release and finding his footing. I can finally hear something much more polished on his next single, "BIG." Only two albums would be released in 2020, titled "wHEN tHE wORLD sMILES" and "Better than a hug (mind full of money)." These tracks are on a different level than his first release. The cadence, quality, and production are all much stronger and more mature. I can already see the style and appearance coming together. Calvin, I believe, hit the jackpot in 2021. This is when he discovered his sound and began to create music that would spread throughout the city. Everything from the lyrics to the delivery to the mixing and production to the cover art style was on a whole new level that everyone could appreciate. Tracks like "GUN4NECK," "BE TARDY 3," and "BABY CHAINS" got people excited, but his first full-length album, "MY ANGEL, DEBRA," was the real deal. This is where he found himself, and it was through this project that we got some of his best music. Songs such as "WHO DUN IT?!," "PATRIOT BABY!," and "PAPA MOON." were massive in making me a big fan of Calvin or even me discovering him at all.  "MY ANGEL, DEBRA." was a significant step forward. Calvin has released two singles in the year 2022 and has just released another project titled "EVERYBODY'S COOLER THAN YOU." This project has demonstrated Calvin's significant progress in such a short period of time. His voice, appearance, and confidence are not what they were even two years ago. I'm looking forward to Calvin refining his sound and captivating audiences across the country moving forward.
