Avry’s

latest release, Fabrics, is a 7-track EP that offers listeners a truly memorable experience. Even though nearly every song was released as a single before the full EP dropped, this approach fits the modern music scene. Nowadays, unless an album comes from an artist who’s already well-known or has proven their worth, people might not commit the time to listen to a full project. That’s the reality of today’s music industry: attention spans are short, and people want quick, memorable moments rather than full-length albums.

This single-by-single release strategy works well because it builds excitement track by track, giving fans time to really enjoy each piece before the full collection arrives. By the time the EP is released, listeners have already experienced most of the songs in a way that feels natural and unforced, and Avry’s approach to releasing Fabrics is a smart way of keeping fans engaged. This understanding of the music business—knowing how to adapt to people’s listening habits and attention spans—is impressive. But, of course, none of it would matter if the music itself didn’t deliver.

And Avry definitely delivers. His sound has a mellow, acoustic vibe, yet it’s paired with a larger-than-life, cinematic feel. Listening to his music feels like stepping into a different world, which is a rare and powerful quality. Avry is skilled at creating an atmosphere through his production, lyrics, and mixing, which work together to build a unique experience for listeners. Three standout tracks on Fabrics are “Fabrics,” “Push Me ‘Til I Break,” and “Nerds Rope.” Each song shows off a different side of Avry’s style. I especially love the slower, more atmospheric parts, where the music has room to breathe and pull you in.

And then, there are moments where the beat drops and the energy builds, like in “Nerds Rope.” Those dynamic shifts keep the listener hooked, making each track feel fresh and layered. Avry’s style is consistent not just in his sound but in every part of his creative process. From the song titles to the cover art, every detail feels intentional, with a clear sense of purpose. His aesthetic feels carefully thought out, almost like every part of the project has been crafted to fit together seamlessly. While Avry doesn’t necessarily need anyone else to elevate his music, it would be exciting to see him collaborate with other artists someday.
