Grovebaby - Gotham (Directed by Maxim Bayarsky)

DMTV Presents “Gotham” by Grovebaby (Directed by Maxim Bayarsky). This is Grovebaby’s latest track released with a special music video directed by Maxim Bayarsky. This is the first drill track in Grovebaby’s discography and definitely won’t be the last. Grovebaby shines in this track and I personally feel it’s his best piece of work. The way he carries himself on the beat and the lyrics all sounds perfect together to create this cinematic and gritty vibe that he likes to call Gotham. To wrap the product together Grovebaby teamed up with DM Company to create the best visuals to accompany the fantastic track and I believe they achieved just that.

The video began with a slow Steadicam shot walking into the recording booth with Grovebaby sparking up a blunt and getting ready to spit his bars. The video is a collection of shots from Grovebaby’s childhood neighborhood to the graffiti alleys of downtown Toronto. The video keeps its consistent look through colors like Blue and Orange. These are mixed in with the signature black and white shots that are in most of Maxim’s work. In the end, the look was achieved as planned and made for a very satisfying experience.
