Burna Bandz is back with another banger titled "Shade." Burna has been releasing some of the best music coming out of the city for years. "Shade" is yet another melodic, energetic, and memorable track that will dominate playlists and charts. Burna's ability to flow so effortlessly with that deep distinct cadence sets him apart from the crowd. I love everything from the delivery to the flows, everything felt exciting and energetic. The melodic street rap is a sub-genre that I feel Burna dominates with rival artists like Duvy and Lil Ot. There is a massive community for this type of sound and Burna has definitely mastered the sound. I put a big emphasis on him having his distinct cadence and that’s because your voice should stand out on its own and be distinguishable from other artists. Seeing the fans go crazy for his music during his Rolling Loud set has really elevated the city in the eyes of the US. The fans finally got to see some of their favorite artists perform for the first time in years. The track begins with a very unique piano pattern, as well as keystrokes played at different tones to produce the sound we hear, it appears that someone struck the keys of an acoustic piano very hard. It's the small details that I enjoy hearing. People over look the number of talent artists like Burna bring to the table and the production is some of the best. The mood is set immediately before the hard beat drops. Burna once again delivered a memorable hook, this time one of his best. Its memorable nature and melodic tone really set it apart. From production to delivery, this track was spot on. I believe the fans are ready for a full-length project, perhaps an EP or even a full studio album with a diverse range of features and collaborations from across the city. Regardless we are all excited to hear what’s next.
