PEAK’s latest release titled “QUIET” delivers the perfect vibe and PEAK delivers a great performance. It's like a more melodic Travis Scott, with a distinct sound that combines traditional and recognizable elements to create something new and exciting. Toronto has some of the best musical talent in the world, as well as in most other industries. PEAK exemplifies how good the underground scene truly is. He has just the right vocal tone. It's not too high while still retaining some low end; it's on the higher end of the spectrum, but he has a broad range. The song's simple and memorable hook is a mainstay. On first listen, it made the song feel so exciting. It's the reason I was drawn in. Every aspect of the music is enhanced by his melodic delivery and infectious flows. Throughout the hook and verse, he maintains this catchy delivery and flow style. His verse features some dope flow changes with a slightly more complex delivery that spices things up while keeping the overall theme consistent. His cadence is one of the track's highlights. He has mastered his voice, and the way he delivers and mixes it is distinctive. It has similarities to other major acts, but there is something about his voice that makes it feel angelic. He uses his voice as an instrument here, rather than just something layered on top of an overly produced beat, as most amateurs do. Quality production is important in any song, but the simple yet powerful beat selection is what distinguishes this one. The track begins with a guitar riff that sets the tone for the entire track; it has an energy to it that the rest of the track, including PEAK, simply embodies. The atmosphere is something that people look for when they are in a certain mood and plays a big role in the overall emotion of a track. This track is just a vibe; it doesn't have a deep message or dramatic and over-the-top lyricism; it's just good fun and exciting production with some infectious melodies and flows. PEAK is definitely someone that is on my radar now, he has a natural talent that has already been showcased in his recent releases. I’m excited to see what he has planned next and hope to see some sort of a project in 2023.
