Ride Still by Lavie
Toronto Music Archive
“Ride still” is LaVie’s first official single release. He is already featured on a track titled “Paranoid” that has a DM Company presented music video directed by Maxim Bayarsky. The track hasn’t been released on any streaming platforms but will be very soon. “Ride still” is a very cinematic track and is full of fantastic vocal and lyrical rhythms. The track has a mixture of many elements like lyrical, vocal, and rhythmic magic to create a fantastic blend. LaVie is talking about some real shit, lines like “would you ride still” is something not enough people think about when they surround themselves with a bunch of fake people. This is true for anyone no matter your profession or your intentions. People always try and find a way to get a piece of your pie and it’s important to know who that person really is on the inside.
The instrumentals are fantastic, a great blend of guitar, and a modified electronic piano/string instrument. They work very well with LaVie’s flow and have great slow points and high energy points to keep your attention and your flow of emotions going. LaVie showcases his abilities nicely on his first official release. A high-end cinematic first track with great mixing and instrumentals. “Ride still” is a great entry into LaVie’s potential and what you should expect to hear from LaVie coming in the future.
