Supreme Swiss
Toronto artist blog
The Toronto native Supreme Swiss is someone I have been hearing more and more of every single month. The first record that popped up was a track titled “Enrg”. An energetic, catchy simple upbeat single that made ways last year. His discography spans from 2017 with single like “Win”, “Zone”, & “Ih2wa” all being from 2017. Then the next record comes out all the way in 2019 by the titled of “For the w” this is a pretty big gap in time but from this point onwards he kept it on a more consistent basis. He released tracks like “"Open up shop” “S.M.W”, & “Dash” all in 2019. 2020 has a bit more on it’s plate. He release a joint EP project with Henny Hendrx titled “Mrshl city” with some massive bangers like “Engy”, “Twisted”, & “Alive”. This was a great collab and a new direction for Swiss. 2021 then followed with “Pillow”, “Make it out”, & “Surroundings”. The discography is not massive but extensive enough to where you can see his potential. His recent releases have been picking up steam and with the quality he has been outputting it’s a matter of time when one of these records takes off on another level.
His sound just kept getting better and better every single track. The music and the visuals he has been putting out have been very thoughtful and meaningful unlike majority or other artists. Meaningful doesn’t have to be colorful, perfect set design, unique ideas but videos that bring the lyrics to life. Swiss is bringing a lot more story telling to the city. This combo is fantastic and has definitely put Swiss in his own lane in the city and that’s just something he can continue to expand on. Swiss has something special going on and I feel he should continue to expand on his existing sound and style. There is a market and need for more storytellers in the city and Swiss is someone I can see being one of the driving forces of that. The storytelling is what keeps me coming back over and over again. With this I can’t wait to see what Swiss does next and what that may have in store for the city.
