Moeski is one of the leading artists in the underground scene in Toronto. He is a versatile and vibrant talent, his sound is unique and brings a different approach to music as a whole. Something very few can say out here in Toronto. That’s what genuinely makes me excited to hear what he has to say and what he releases next. This type of anticipation is far and few between. He is one that evolves with time and that will change as he ages. If you listen to his early work you can hear that more Toronto street rap compared to the next level music he is putting out now that showcases himself and puts his own sauce on it. As a Toronto artist, Moeski carries himself differently. This can be seen by his social media posts, his clothing style, and of course his music. Nothing screams Toronto and that’s why he stands out from the majority. His ties to the streets won’t stop him from making his mark and living out his dream as a successful recording artist. This is the type of energy I’m looking for when trying to help new artists in the city, ones that can stand their own and the ones with a bigger goal and picture in mind with actions to back it up. Moeski’s discography is at the moment pretty small with only 4 major track releases and 10 other tracks on his SoundCloud. There are also some big tracks like “Old Me” by YC Ft. Moeski, & “2fang - Want Me (feat. Casper TNG & Moeski)”. These are some big records that Moeski was a feature on and that goes to show how much he has already achieved in the scene. Tracks like “NO FRIENDS”, “DO OR DIE” & “MY DAWG” are just so far what the world has heard from Moeski as far as his talents. There is a lot of unreleased heat making its way soon that will take Moeski to another level and showcase his true talents and what he is capable of doing. I can’t wait to see what Moseki does next.
