Dr. Bushman is one of the more consistent and underrated artists that are already in the spotlight. He has eyes on him but people don’t fully appreciate his music and his potential in the industry yet. His flows and melodies are not only memorable but also deliver something powerful in them. His cadence and vocal tone really are what sets him apart. He has this depth to his voice and power that just draws in the listener. His flows and rhythms deliver the structure and the melodies just round things off. He has this consistent style and sounds that he has mastered at this point. What I like and appreciate is his music has quality control. He ain’t just making shit to make it and dropping it to drop. There is quality behind every release and his discography shows that. Diving into his library further, you get to know him a little bit more. His discography is not large but it packs a serious punch. His first single was released back in 2020 titled “Quarantine Money.” The track holds up very well, he has the same cadence. Good beat selection, and his classic melodic flow and delivery. You can tell he has some experience with making music before. 2020 isn’t his first year behind the mic but you can tell that each year after he takes music more seriously and starts pushing a more consistent schedule. His next release would be titled “My Kitchen.” This track opened up with a cinematic instrument, the hard 808s bring so much energy to the track. Bushman delivered a great performance with a more melodic approach. 2020 would also introduce his only full-length project titled “Burning Bush.” This project delivered 15 tracks, some of the highlights being “Matter of Fact,” “Real Love,” and “Best Friend.” The project is very well put together. It’s got a consistent sound and a very good beat selection throughout the project. 2021 would only deliver 2 singles titled “Red Light Green Light,” and “Junkie Junkie.” These would continue the 2020 vibe and sound into 2022. “Gifted” was the first track of 2022 and it was a game changer. There is something about it that just feels like a complete sound. The mixing and mastering have massively improved and made his music a lot more mainstream. “Masterpiece” is my personal favourite. This track just feels perfect, it ticks all the boxes of the perfect Bushman track and the production and mixing quality is phenomenal. His message and the way he delivers it just hits you deep. His latest release would bring us a Bushman and KHEM collaboration. There is something so exciting about this track and its high energy brings that out. I’m genuinely excited to see Bushman continue to move up the ranks. He has proven his quality and his talents on multiple occasions. I’m excited to see some major collaborations this year and hope to hear another Bushman album at some point.
