Akari Stylze is a gifted young artist emerging from Toronto's thriving underground scene. I was immediately hooked on his music after covering his latest release, "Wolf's Reign." I decided to go through his entire discography, and I was pleasantly surprised. Akari has an extremely versatile cadence and flow. His vocal delivery and mixing style are excellent and suit a wide range of vibes and sounds. Akari has a raw experimental sound, bringing a Sound Cloud-era sound with much more comprehensible lyrics and a memorable and exciting flow. This is also influenced by his beat selection; the spacy viby hard-hitting 808s can be heard on many of his tracks on projects such as "El Lobo" and "Wolf's Reign." His cadence is especially impressive; his voice is tailor-made for this type of sound. Akari has the potential to become a legend in this ground, and his music will only improve with each release, as will his influence and reach. When it comes to his discography, his music only dates back to 2019, with his first release being a 6-track project titled "El Lobo," which included bangers like "Kailua," "Ronin," and "Ride." This is a very high-quality project that is not his first work, but it is his first public release. The production is very clean, and Akari delivered an incredible performance. It took me by surprise at first, and I couldn't believe it. This would carry over into 2020 with his next release, "Super Slime." This would be the year's only release. The song reminds me of Uno the activist. I think Akari has a similar voice to him at the time, with a few more distinguishing characteristics. The beat selection and mixing make this track sound very Atlanta-like. I love how he can easily recreate that type of sound and make it sound so good with his own little spin on it. His sound would only improve and refine with each release, and 2021 would see the release of two new singles, "BAND GETTA" and "El Dorado." "BAND GETTA" features a super vibrant and exciting instrumental as well as a very distinct Akari voice. This is the first track on which I believe Akari has truly found his own voice. His flows on this track are incredible; this is one of my personal favorites from his entire discography. "El Dorado" would be another cinematic instrumental with a very distinct delivery and flow style. I like the versatility; it has a different vibe than "BAND GETTA” giving us two different tracks to enjoy. The amazing full-length project titled "Wolf's Reign" would arrive in 2022. With hits like "Lost," "Genie," and "Magnificent," this project contains his best work to date. I can't say enough about the beat selection and versatility in delivery and flow throughout this project. This is a high-level project that put him on the map. For such a small discography and little to show, the mixing and mastering are some of the best I've heard. I feel like Akari has done so much with so little, and I'm excited to see where he goes next and what his next project will sound like.
