MOESKI - Set
DMTV presents Moeski’s Set (Directed By Maxim Bayarsky). Set was one of those tracks that immediately caught my attention as being the perfect track. It had the energy and cadence I was looking for and we came up with a unique picture. The project itself took longer to shoot than ever expected due to delays in dates and the weather being all over the place but we created something special. The video is entirely a performance-based picture. No story behind it just cinematic performances with unique fun sets like the projector and white backdrop set we did in my basement. It was a white bed sheet on two of my light stands with sandbags holding them down and a cheap amazon projector I took from my mom to shoot this unique shot. Other shots that were unique were the forest scenes, those are not unique location-wise but the way it was filmed. I used a Sigma 18-35mm lens which is a photo lens but was still able to create this zoom in and out effect and keep the subject in focus. This was a shot I wanted to get and was planning on renting a lens but then on set found out the Sigma is even more amazing than I thought. The video then showcases a yellow-tinted shot where Moeski and a group of his homies are grouped up in front of a car doing the master performances. The video has this dark color grading and vibe to it and is mixed in with this X-ray skeleton effect throughout the video. This brought that extra touch to the video and made things a lot more interesting.
