J-Soul recently released "Too Much," a summer smash hit. It's one of two singles that have been released this year. This track's fun, energetic, and bright vibe is something we need more of in the city right now. The song begins with a catchy fun bouncy instrumental. This is followed by a bass drop and the man himself with his angelic voice. Everything, from the beat selection to the production quality is fantastic. His melodic delivery and angelic voice have resulted in some amazing music over the years, and "Too Much" is just one example. This is a real club banger, and I can already see all the girls grooving to it at house parties, clubs, and even in their cars. This track has so much potential reach; all it needs is a major Tik Tok placement and it'll be out of here. Especially knowing who is behind the microphone. J-Soul is a versatile artist who has created so many different types of melodic music that it is impossible to categorize. His discography includes certified hits such as "Show Wine," "Mod Ting," and "Toronto Plaza Hotel." These, however, pale in comparison to J's more developed and engineered sound he has right now, which he has showcased in recent tracks such as "PAINKILLERS" and "Too Much." I enjoy seeing artists' artistic and quality progression; it's something that only happens with repetition and time. J, I believe it is time for another major project. It's been two years since he released his last project, "November Twelve." I believe the music scene could benefit from more J-Soul right now, as drill has been dominating and R&B has been somewhat dry lately. We have incredible underground talent releasing some of the best music coming out, but the mainstream has been a little dry. Regardless, I'm looking forward to hearing more J-Soul, whether it's another major project or another summer anthem like "Too Much."
